Desiree Fixler joined DWS in September 2020 as Group Sustainability Officer (GSO) based in Frankfurt, Germany. Fixler will be based in London and will report to the CEO, Asoka Woehrmann. Fixler joined from US alt asset investment specialist ZAIS where she served as PM and Managing Director for impact investing.
Artemis poaches rival Kames Capital’s sustainability team in September 2020 based in Scotland, UK. Craig Bonnthron, Neil Goddin, Jonathan Parsons, and Ryan Smith will join Artemis in the fall to launch a sustainable global equity fund.
As of the beginning of July, Marina Iodice will join the Dutch asset manager’s NN Investment Partners’ sustainable and impact equity team based in The Hague, Netherlands. She joins from Natixis where she coordinated engagement initiatives on ESG themes with international investors and led sustainability research into the energy and healthcare sectors since 2013.
Kamran Khan appointed by Deutsche Bank as Head of ESG for APAC in June 2020, a newly-created role based in Singapore. He is responsible for developing and coordinating the regional business strategy around ESG across all the bank’s business divisions the region. Khan was appointed by the Obama White House to serve as head of global investments and operations at the US Millenium Change Corporation.
Edward Mason has joined Generation Investment Management as a Director of Engagement and Impact Reporting in June 2020, based in London, UK. Most recently, he was head of responsible investment at Church Commissioners for England.
Brishni Mukhopadhyay joined in Lazard Asset Management as ESG Specialist in June 2020 based in London, UK. He joined from JP Morgan Asset Management where he was on the sustainable investment client strategy leadership team.
Jessica Ground left Schroders in June 2020 after 20 years where she most recently served as global head of stewardship to join Capital Group with effect from September based London, UK. At Schroders, Andy Howard has been promoted to the position of global head of sustainable investment, as part of which he will take responsibility for overseeing the listed asset manager’s stewardship activities.
Neuberger Berman has appointed in June 2020 Caitlin McSherry as Director of Investor Stewardship on the ESG investing team based in New York, US. She will work directly with the firm’s portfolio managers and research analysts to engage with portfolio companies and will oversee the firm’s proxy voting processes.
Ian Woods, former head of AMP Capital’s sustainable investments team, is in June 2020 to provide specialist consulting on climate change and responsible investment programmes to Chronos, a specialist sustainability advisory firm whose clients include the Transition Pathway Initiative and the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change. He’ll be based in Sydney, Australia. He was a founder of the Australia/New Zealand Investor Group on Climate Change of which he was deputy chair until 2019.
Matt Smith has joined Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Shaftesbury as Head of Sustainability in May 2020 based in London, UK. In his newly created role, he will report to CEO Brian Bickell and ensure the business continues to develop and implement its long-term sustainability and engagement strategy.
