Pantheon Ventures is bolstering its investment team with a series of new hires as it anticipates the private debt secondaries market to swell further in 2021. The firm is in the process of hiring four investment professionals, at levels from associates to vice presidents, to bolster the ranks in its private secondaries business, according to Rakesh Jain, the global head of private credit at Pantheon. Alexander Midera joined the firm’s private debt team in January as a senior associate in New York. Midera previously worked at MetLife Investment Management’s middle market pirvae capital group, where he worked on directly originated senior and junior private debt investments. The rest of the new hires will join Pantheon’s office in the coming months and the names have yet to be disclosed as the people are still in their onboarding process.
